Being as how at the moment I feeling very, let's go with uninterested, and don't really feel like coming up with an idea to state anything creative about human dignity. So first let's break up the idea and explain it from there.
Dignity is:
1. pride and self-respect: a proper sense of pride and self-respect
2. seriousness in behavior: seriousness, respectfulness, or formality in a person’s behavior and bearing
3. worthiness: the condition of being worthy of respect, esteem, or honor
4. due respect: the respect or honor that a high rank or position should be shown
5. high office: a high rank, position, or honor
6. dignitary: a dignitary (archaic)
So in blatant terms it can be a simile for human worth, human rights. This idea was shared and expressed on Wikipedia, also having a reference to Kant's theory of human value.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Human_dign
Secondly human dignity can be taken as an expression of self worth and respect as stated in the above definition. This can be the basis to where one becomes able to express outward dignity towards others; such as in human rights. It can be taken like a stepping block, to begin one must first recognize and respect not only their dignity but of those around them.
Thirdly human dignity is taken more at a face value where it relates to the ever popular human rights. America, being a firm believer in the practice of protecting such things, often comes up in relation to ourselves (as a country) and involvement with other individuals.
Having to define the rights of others and helping to protect them has become cause.

Right, well with the election over people have done many things to learn the results. I, myself, had first asked my grandmother (which turned out to be a poor decision). The answer that I had received was simply put, "Well the democrats got it all, expect that Pawlenty is still there.." from there she continued to rant on how horrible Republicans were.
From there I decided to go on the internet, though the site in an unoffical reporting these were the general state wide elections. I have enclosed the link Here; it opens in a new window.
And as for the state wide results, this page will allow you look through specifics. Click Here; this too opens in new window. Alright, other than this I don't have much to say; I had not wanted anyone in particular to win. (And I may have forgotten to vote myself)
But other then this, I don't have much of an opinion. Till next time!

Let's see, I don't understand the importance of participating this activity; it is pointless and I don't like doing it. I mean who wants to talk about themselves; it's conceded, it's pathetic, and frankly who would want to hear about it?
NOT ME!
But on to the matters of maintaning a proper grade in this class I have had an uneventful week, where nothing exciting has happened. I got hurt at work... again.
And on a last, Scott smells like poo!

Like a few others it seems, I had no idea people were so heavily dependent upon internet interaction. Facebook? MySpace? I had no idea what any of these things were until this class; though I had been asked by numerous people, 'Like do you have a MySpace Account?'
I was aware that people were a bit odd when on the internet, but to think they utilize something like this to simply go on and on about themselves? This amy just be insipiring our society to be a bit more self involved than we really need. But hey, I am not saying that I am above them in anyway; in fact I have been considering do one these account things to simply test it out.
Social networking might be fun, let the addiction begin!

Alright, just so this can be made clear I am not happy that the class this week on October 3rd will only be twenty minutes.
It's ridiculous.
I have to drive forty-five minutes to be here for twenty minutes. That is nothing but a waste of gas! So if you don't see me then, I am at home pouting and silently cursing...
That and I will also be cursing the worst birthday ever; nothing went right today...

Fun Thing:
I haven't really done anything exciting at the school yet; though I did get lost in the science building.. twice. And in my spare time I sit out in the grass having 'deep' conversations with SuperHairBall. Other than that, everything has just been interesting.
Have A Nice Day!

Community: Ishmael's Gazebo

Description: In this particular community they all simply speak their thoughts and such around the subject of 'Ishmael'. How it had impacted them, how it had influenced their thoughts, and one person even began speaking of who would portray the characters the best if a movie were to be made. Also using what they took in from this book, they go on to make their own conjectures.
"Emotion is what we experience during gaps in our thinking.
If there are no gaps there is no emotion.
Today people are thinking all the time and are mistaking thought (words/ language) for emotion.
When society switches-over from physical work (agriculture) to mental work (scientific/ industrial/ financial/ fast visuals/ fast words ) the speed of thinking keeps on accelerating and the gaps between thinking go on decreasing.
There comes a time when there are almost no gaps.
People become incapable of experiencing/ tolerating gaps.
Emotion ends.
Man becomes machine".
This is an exert of a writing done by 'sushil_yadav'; and title for this particular blog was 'Industrial Society Distorts Mind and Environment'. He goes on to talk about the dangers of the ways of society (from his perspective), while remaining an almost neutral quality, he gives the other readers to the community a possible what if?
"Before there was a world, there was a void. And in that void lived two entities. Now some call them Light and Darkness. Some call them Life and Death. Others have called them Yin and Yang, Order and Chaos, Good and Evil, but I feel like it's more fun to call them Jack and Diane".
This was another quote from a more outgoing member of this community; paganbear. And in this posting he gives a small summary of a story he created for the creation of life and time; as well as another rendition of how man came to become the 'Taker' society that is today. He seems to really like this term, and talks of 'others' that are still part of this belief system. He, as an individual, is quite intriguing.

Description: This particular blog was interesting simply because it was unlike the other, more questionable, ones that I had read. She (Sara) spoke of an issue that many have, and will face in the future. Her uncertainty of what is to come of her.
"I guess everybody has stress- it's all about remembering not to become totally consumed with your own".
A quote from her blog; in it she described her unease and anxiety towards an 'unknown future'. And completely unexpected her sister appears to her in a time of her own distraught. Here she listens, taking on the role someone had for her just earlier, and in the end she comforts her enough to calm her down.
Blog Two:
Link: http://fallenangel64.livejournal.co m/
Description: I found this particular blog interesting simply because I found his views appealing. He has a dream to one day be a writer, and as hesitant as I am to admit that's what I want too; it's reassuring to find others with the same interest. Though in parts he tends to become a bit depressive, and unsure of himself; his over all attitude seemed very different. And though not yet had I read anything he wrote, there is some interest on how he can portray the thoughts in his mind.
"So, I have found, through a nice writing community, an opportunity to actually have a shot at getting my stories printed up, in an actual magazine, that people can actually hold in their hands and read. I'm nervous, yet very excited about this. I'm starting to work on a story for them tonight".
Not truly speaking of anything too terribly interesting, somehow it was just all appealing in the end.
Blog Three:
Link: http://m-agda.livejournal.com/
Description: This entry was appealing simply because of the TV reviews. Once in a while it is nice to take in what others had thought, gives one a new perspective, and could also deeper the all around interest in the show.
"Ok, three episodes, that's a lot. And strangely I don't have much to say about them. Oh, they were good, had good lines (not that I remember them now, but there muse have been some, it's House standard) and Hugh Laurie was as awesome as ever. Nothing particularly remarkable about them, just decent 'House' jobs. Wasn't blown away, wasn't bored either".
Personally some thoughts differ from that of my own, but still; seeing a new insight upon the subject makes one rethink their own views.

Alright this is for my wonderous class, and it is known as Dignitas.
Right.
I am also supposed to mention a book I have read this summer, and I have read... Well I have read a few,
'A Great and Terrible Beauty'
'The Passion'
'Memoirs of a Geisha'
and many other useless stories made up on the internet.
And that would be about it. Have a nice day! ^.^
